Where have I been?

Hey everyone!  It’s been a long time!

What have I been up to?

  • Working on getting back into a school routine
  • Volunteering/fundraising with the PTO at my son’s school.
  • Working on updating my Etsy shop and opening a Zibbet shop!  So excited about those!!
  • Purging and organizing in the house!
  • Getting ready for craft shows!
  • Scheduling workshops!

So while I haven’t been posting, I have been creating.  Check out my Instagram or Facebook pages or my shops to see what new projects/cards I’ve been working on.  And currently I only have one craft/vendor show booked – Oct 24th – depending on how well this one does and how well the baby is (16 months and walking now!!!) hopefully I can schedule more.

Ok – that’s what’s been going on in my life!  What’s been going on with you guys??

I’ll be back next week, starting Monday and I’ll be sharing some of the Halloween projects I have completed.  Have a great weekend!!

❤ Dawn

Zoe Wedding Card

Good Morning!  Keeping things short and sweet this week – it’s the last week before school and it’s the week of the county fair so we are super busy!!

I am in love with the colors in the new Zoe paper collection!  Some friends of ours are getting married next week so I needed a wedding card.  Then I couldn’t decide between Sorbet or Glacier so I ended up making two! (all supplies listed at the end)

IMG_20150812_084911IMG_20150812_084917I think I’m leaning more towards the Sorbet card.  Which do you like better?

This is a card included in the August Card Buffet.  And while I had the Zoe paper out, I made one more card…

IMG_20150812_084945Have a great day!!

thank you

Meet Zoe!

In anticipation of the  new Annual Expressions Idea book coming out next month, Close To My Heart has released the Zoe paper collection, along with some of the accessories that coordinate.

I love the colors and patterns included with the Zoe paper!

I’ve been working on a scrapbook of our summer so it was perfect timing that my order came in with the Workshop on the Go!!  Here are my little munchkins 🙂

Aren’t they cute???  We’ve been having the best summer!  I can’t believe there are only 8 days till school starts again!  I hope you give a try at one of the workshops!  I’m going to make a couple other layouts using the leftover paper now!

Have a great week!!

Cards, cards, cards!!

Morning!  Two more cards today from my August card buffet 🙂  These are using the Chalk It Up paper collection.  As of the writing of this post the paper is still available, but they are going quick! A full list of supplies will be provided with links at the end of the post.

First up is a birthday card – always need these!!

I love the colors in this paper collection and the Glacier and Sorbet coordinated beautifully with it!  I want to talk about this stamp set for a minute.  It’s called You Mean the World to Me and it is one of my favorites!

you mean the world to me

I love the general sentiments that are so often needed in many different cards.  They look great on a variety of cricut shapes or just a punched circle or cut square.  The versality is amazing.  This, sadly, is also retiring, so if you like this set grab it quick before it’s gone.  I don’t normally use stamps after they retire, but I use this one a LOT.

The second card is a Hello card.  I love to send these just to surprise someone with some happy mail 🙂

I used the Chevron embossing folder that I love so much.  The hello stamp is from the set called Just To Say – this is a set that is exclusive to the Artfully Sent Cricut bundle.  When you are stamping and embossing the same paper – make sure you do your stamping first, before you put it through your Cuddlebug or whichever machine is your preference.  If you wait to stamp, you will not get a clear image trying to stamp over the raised embossing.

I hope you enjoyed todays cards!  If you are interested in picking up a card kit for the cards that are a part of my Card Buffet let me know and I will ship one out to you!

thank you

Card Buffet – Brushed

Morning!  Today I have two more cards from the Aug. card buffet to share.  These are using the Brushed paper collection and the August stamp of the month, Framed.  (A full list of supplies will be provided at the end of this post)

First card up is a beautiful Thank You card ~

I thought this one turned out so pretty – I love the flowers and the sparkle!  Brushed collection is easily my favorite paper from the Annual Inspirations book.  Don’t forget, a lot of these products are on the retired list because of the new Annual Inspirations Idea book going live Sept. 1st so if there’s something you like, get it sooner rather than later, or it most likely will be gone!

Next up is another ‘all occasion’ card ~

Both of these cards are using opposite sides of the same paper from the Brushed collection.  I love that all of our pattern papers are double sided!  The stamped image was so easy to cut out with the Cricut – the Framed stamp set coordinates with the new Artistry Cricut Bundle! And then, of course, I had to add just a bit of sparkle with the Bitty Sparkles!

I hope you are all having a fabulous week and get in some crafty time!  I’d love to hear what you are working on!

thank you

Card Buffet – Confetti Wishes

awesome monday livelovepaper76

Happy Monday!  I hope you all got a chance to stop by to read Saturday’s blog post about the all new, amazingly awesome product from Close To My Heart – including the brand new Cricut cart Artistry!!!

cricut artistry bundle

It truly is amazing – over 700 images like each of the others we offer exclusively through CTMH.  I had a chance to play with it this weekend and I’ll have some projects soon to share!

But today, I am excited for a whole other reason!  I am hosting my very first  ‘All You Can Create’ Card Buffet this month!  YAY!!  I’m holding two sessions on Aug. 22nd – a morning one from 10 – noon and an evening one from 6:30 – 8:30 – so if you are local to me and want to join, go over to Facebook and RSVP for the morning or evening session!  If you aren’t local to me and still want to participate, there’s a ‘To Go’ option I’m offering as well, but more on that in a little bit.

For my ‘All You Can Create’ card buffet, there will be 10 card designs to choose from.  Each will be in a separate tote – the cardstock, papers, ribbon, shimmer trim – it’s all pre-measured and cut for you.  The inks and stamps will be included in the tote as well as any embellishments you may need.  I am not including any instructions per se, but there is a sample card that I created for a visual to go by and, of course, I’ll be there for questions or guidance.  I wanted this to be something fun for the most novice stamper/card maker to enjoy all the way up to an experienced crafter.

This week I’ll be sharing the 10 card designs I created.  I used 5 different paper collections, 2 card designs from each.  Today I’m showing the cards I made using the Confetti Wishes paper.  And since it’s my hubby’s birthday today and we celebrated over the weekend the first card I made was a birthday card!

This was a great card to make because it used up some of the scraps I had leftover from making my hubby’s gift box.  I thought this was so cheerful and I love that Doodled Designs stamp set!

The next card is one that I call ‘any occasion’.  I love to keep these on hand because you can use them for birthdays, thank yous or really just because.  I love to send just because cards.  With all the junk mail and bills that is received in the mail on a daily basis, it’s nice to send something that can put a smile on a loved ones face and let them know you’re thinking about them!

I’ll be honest with you – the Confetti Wishes paper was not my favorite when this Idea book first came out.  But when I finally got the paper in my hands and saw how cheerful the colors were, I fell in love.

Now, earlier I mentioned there would be a ‘To Go’ option for the card buffet.  This is a great option for anyone who lives a great distance from me!  The ‘To Go’ buffet will include all the pre-cut papers, any cricut die cuts there may be, ribbon/shimmer trim and embellishments for each of the 10 cards.  I will also include a supply list for each card so you may purchase the supplies needed to make more if you choose.  What is not included is the stamp set, ink and adhesive.  The stamps used may be purchased from my online shop or you may substitute a similar stamp of your own.  The To Go card buffet kits are $24.99 and that includes shipping.  Just send me an email or message me on facebook letting me know you are interested and I will get your info and send you a Paypal invoice.

Have a great week!!

thank you
